RANCHI/BHUBANESWAR: A Talk on Cardiology at NTPC Coal Mining Headquarters was organized on Friday. The program was graced by Prashant Kashyap ,Regional Executive Director (Coal Mining) as the Chief Guest in presence of Head of the departments , Dr Kabibar Pradan ,CMO ,Pakri Barwadih Coal Mining Project and employees.
The talk was organized by NTPC CMHQ in association with Medanta Hospital, Ranchi.On the occasion speaker, Dr Niraj Prasad, DM(Cardiologist) spoke on various aspects of cardiology and chest pain. He deliberated the august gathering about the symptoms of chest pain leading to heart attack.
Chest Pain clubbed with sweating is a serious concern as it indicates possible heart attack. Associated Features with cardiology like Hypertension needs to be regulated. In view of the prevailing COVID pandemic, he shared some key messages on special care to be taken for precaution and prevention of cardiac problems.
Dr Prasad advised employees for master health checkup regularly to monitor their heart health. He added that to maintain a healthy heart one should avoid all sorts of addictions e.g smoking etc . The program ended with participants putting up questions which are replied by the cardio specialist.
