BHUBANESWAR: Accused Charles Nayak , Tahasildar , Karanjia , was arrested today for taking bribe Rs 12 Lakhs through unnamed cheques , & was remanded to jail custody . Rs 1.25 Crore in Deposits, 1 Triple Storied building and other assets unearthed during house searches .
The Vigilance had conducted searches at Office room of Tahasildar-Karanjia, Official residence of Tahasildar, Karanjia located at Karanjia in Mayurbhanj, Residential house of Sri Charls Nayak located near District Hospital, Bhadrak and Another place located at Chadei Bhol, Karanjia.
