BHUBANESWAR:Today i.e on 13.11.2025, a short while ago, Sri T. Bhenkatagiri Rao, Senior Clerk, RWS&S Division, Bhawanipatna Dist-Kalahandi has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance in his Govt. quarter at Bhawanipatana *while demanding and taking bribe Rs.20,000/- from a retired staffer( Complainant) of the same office to process file for extending pensionary benefits in favour of complt*.
The complt had retired on 31.3.2024. Since then, he had been requesting accused Sri Rao to prepare his pension papers. Even after repeated requests by complt, accused Sri Rao was not processing the file, rather insisting complt to pay him the bribe Rs.20,000/-. Being aggrieved over the matter, complt reported the matter to vigilance authorities narrating his harassment by the accused Sri Rao.
