BHUBANESWAR/NEW DELHI: Steel Authority of India Limited(SAIL), a CPSU under the Ministry of Steel led by Dharmendra Pradhan , Naveen Jindal led Jindal Steel and Power Limited and his elder brother Sajjan Jindal owned JSW Steel, have jointly set a new benchmark in supplying medical oxygen to various Hospitals for treatment for COVID-19 patients across the Country.
Dharmendra Pradhan led Steel Ministry’s SAIL has supplied more than 33,300 Tonnes of Liquid Medical Oxygen (#LMO) of 99.7% purity of Oxygen for COVID Relief from its Integrated Steel Plants Bokaro (Jharkhand), Bhilai (Chhattisgarh), Rourkela (Odisha), Durgapur and Burnpur (WestBengal).
The former Lok Sabha MP Naveen Jindal owned JSPL has been supplying around 50-100 MT of liquid Oxygen to Hospitals of Chhattisgarh and Odisha daily. The JSPL Group had already announced that it can compromise steel production for a while to supply oxygen to the Government to save precious lives.
Sajjan Jindal run JSW Steel’s Dolvi Plant in Maharashtra is supplying 185 Tonne of oxygen daily to the State Government.
Similarly, AMNS India is supplying 200 tonnes of oxygen per day to health facilities in Gujarat while Tata Steel is supplying 200-300 tonnes of medical oxygen on a daily basis to various State Government Hospitals.Tata Group to import 24 cryogenic containers to transport liquid oxygen.
