BHUBANESWAR/CUTTACK: Outgoing DGP Abhay before retiring today has met Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik while new DGP Sunil Kumar Bansal also arrived in the State to take charge of Odisha Police Chief.
The 1987-batch IPS officer was serving as the Special Director, Intelligence Bureau (IB). Bansal’s Central deputation was till 2024 but he opted home cadre after Naveen Patnaik led Government posted him as DGP.
Bansal hails from Rajasthan’s Jaipur and had been in Mumbai with IB since October 2020.
The State Government may award with outgoing DGP Abhay some important assignments considering his past clean career.
