BHUBANESWAR: A program to spread awareness about the diverse aspects of plastic, cosmetic and reconstructive surgery and its positive role in treatment of injuries and correcting congenital anomalies was held at SUM Ultimate Medicare to mark the World Plastic Surgery Day.
Experts of the field explained the way plastic, cosmetic and reconstructive surgery impacted lives through trauma and cancer reconstruction, treatment of nerve injuries and burn injuries and correction of congenital anomalies.
Brig. (Dr.) Biraj Mohan Mishra, Chief of Medical Services, Dr. Jayanta Kumar Dash, Senior Consultant and Head of the department of Plastic, Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery in the hospital and Ms. Bhoomika Dash, actor, graced the program.
Others present included Dr. Chira Ranjan Khadanga, Senior Consultant, Radiation Oncology, Dr. Subhasis Mishra, Consultant, Radiation Oncology, Dr. Prashant Panda, Infection Control and Academics, Dr. Unmesh Jena, Junior Consultant in the department of Plastic, Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery, Ms. Ayesha N, HOD of various department and other staff members were also present in the occasion.
