Inaugurated on February 29, 2020, SUMUM has established itself as a trailblazer across eastern India’s healthcare landscape as the leading healthcare centre with its clinical expertise, skilled manpower, most modern equipment and dedicated workforce.

A unit of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA), the 350-bedded hospital offers most modern facilities including SPECT GAMMA Camera, Linac (True Beam), Dedicated Trauma ICU, PET CT Scan, 3 Tesla MRI, 14 Modular OTs, 128 Slices CT Scan and HDR Bravos Brachy Therapy.

Despite the challenging COVID-19 years, SUMUM achieved the NABL and HACCP accreditation within 2 years of its inception and NABH accreditation within 365 days. It is also the first hospital in India to have achieved the 5th edition NABH accreditation.

SUMUM has treated over 1,65,000 patients, and conducted more than 17,50,000 diagnostics in the last four years. The hospital has also conducted over 25,000 surgical interventions, more than 39,000  therapies and 15,000 plus PET CE and Gamma scans during the period.

To commemorate the day, a celebration was organised which was graced by Dr. Swetapadma Dash, CEO of the hospital. Brig. (Dr.) Biraj Mohan Mishra, Chief of Medical Services and Dr. P.K. Panda, Medical Superintendent were also present. The celebration was christened ‘SUM’UM BONUM—The Ultimate Promise’. SUM’UM BONUM in Latin means the ‘ultimate good’.
