Sudhanshu Sekhar Rana, Soil Conservation Overseer, Ulunda Block, Dist- Subarnapur has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs.11,000/-( Rupees Eleven Thousand) at Patabhadi Chowk, Sonepur from a beneficiary ( Complainant) for facilitating release of final bill for completion of work under "Excavation of Farm Pond" scheme

BHUBANESWAR:   On Saturday,   Sudhanshu Sekhar Rana,  Soil Conservation Overseer, Ulunda Block, Dist- Subarnapur has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs.11,000/-( Rupees Eleven Thousand) at Patabhadi Chowk, Sonepur from a beneficiary ( Complainant) for facilitating release of final bill for  completion of work  under “Excavation of Farm Pond” scheme.

The entire tainted bribe money has been recovered from the possession of accused Sri Rana and seized. Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at two locations of Sri Rana from DA angle.

In this connection,  Sambalpur Vigilance PS Case No. 18 dt.02.08.2024 U/s 7 PC (Amendment)Act, 2018 has been registered. Investigation is in progress against accused Sri Rana. Detailed report follows.
