NEW DELHI: Sudarshan Bhagat took over as the Minister of State for Tribal Affairs here today. Before this charge he was Minister of State for Agriculture & Farmers Welfare .
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that he would strive hard for the enlightenment of Tribal people and to make the dream of the Prime Minister come true.
Bhagat was born on 20th Oct 1969. He now represents Lohardaga (Jharkhand) Parliamentary constituency in Lok Sabha. Bhagat was the member of 15th Lok Sabha (2009-2014). Bhagat was a member of Jharkhand Legislative Assembly from 2000-2005.
Bhagat was Minister of State for Human Resources (2000-2003) and C.M Secretariat (Independent Charge) (2003-2004) in Government of Jharkhand.
Bhagat served as Cabinet Minister of Welfare (2004-2005) Government of Jharkhand. Shri Bhagat has also been member of various Parliamentary committees.
The Union Minister for Tribal Affairs, Jual Oram greeted the new Minister of State for Tribal Affairs, Sudarshan Bhagat.
