BHUBANESWAR: Subhrakant Panda, MD of IMFA & Senior VP of FICCI, led a delegation of CEOs to Washington DC, United States coinciding with the visit of Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.
The delegation met with faculty & students of George Washington University, think-tanks like ORF America & Atlantic Council, and the Chief Economist of IMF.
Ambassador Taranjit Singh Sandhu hosted the delegation and shared his insights about how business can engage to further strengthen the Indo-US relationship.
An excellent interaction with the Finance Minister rounded off the trip of the delegation. Mr Panda complimented the FM for presenting the India growth story to investors and policy makers; in particular, the achievements on the digitalisation front was discussed where India has achieved success through UPI, DigiLocker, etc with sizeable scale. There is also an opportunity to attract global supply chains to India which FICCI will work to facilitate.
