Students who completed their B.Tech and M. Tech education at the ITER, faculty of engineering and technology of SOA presented their degrees

BHUBANESWAR:   Students who completed their B.Tech and M. Tech education at the Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER), faculty of engineering and technology of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan Deemed to be University (SOA) here, were presented their degrees at special ceremonies spread over two days on Friday and Saturday.

On the first day, students of Computer Science department who had completed their B.Tech course in 2024 received their degrees while B.Tech and M.Tech students of Civil Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and Information Technology were presented degrees on the second day.

The students who studied Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Computer Application (BCA and MCA) and had completed their courses in 2024 also received their degrees.

SOA Vice-Chancellor Prof. Pradipta Kumar Nanda, who was the chief guest on the first day, administered the oath and gave away degrees while wishing the pass out students a bright future. The students should feel proud about their university as it was ranked 14th in the country by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2024, he said.

ITER’s Dean Prof. Pradip Kumar Sahoo, who presented the report, said a lot of thrust was being given to research in the institution. Prof. Dhirendranath Thatoi, Additional Dean (Academics) and Dean (Students’ Welfare) Prof. Jyoti Ranjan Das were also present.

Prof. Renu Sharma, Additional Dean (Student Affairs) presented the welcome address.

On the second day, SOA’s Controller of Examination, Prof. Manjula Das attended as the chief guest and gave away the degrees. Prof. Jayanta Kumar Nath, Dean (Research) was present.
