STF seizes Leopard Skin, arrested 2 in Boudh

CUTTACK/BOUDH: The Special Task Force (STF) of Crime Branch seized a leopard skin in Boudh district and arrested two persons in this connection.

An STF team with the help of forest officials conducted a raid in the Boudh Forest Division and seized the skin from the possession of the duo. The two accused were identified as Abanikanta Kahanra and Sakinath Kahanra, both natives of the district. They were handed over to Boudh forest officials for necessary legal action.

On November 2, the agency had seized a leopard skin in Mayurbhanj district and arrested two persons. During 2020, the STF has seized 20 leopard skins, 10 elephant tusks, two deer skins, six live pangolins and 15 kg pangolin scales and arrested 40 wildlife criminals.
