BHUBANESWAR: Basing on intelligence input regarding storage/transportation of huge quantity of stolen Australian Coal/Coke, STF conducted raid at Korua, PO: Gobindapur, under Dhusri PS jurisdiction, of Bhadrak on 28.09.2022.
During raid one 14 wheeler truck loaded with high grade Australian coking coal was intercepted en-route i.e. at Barpadi Chhaka, PO: Barikpur, PS : Dhamnagar of Bhadrak District and as many as 31.290 Ton of Australian coking coal and other incriminating materials were seized and one accused person namely Malaya Kumar Mallick ( 30) S/O Late Akshaya Kumar Mallick of village: Alingi, PO: Kasarda, PS: Niali, Cuttack was apprehended.
The approximate value of the seized coal would be 13 lakhs. The accused person could not produce any valid authority in support of possession of such stolen coal, for which he was arrested and is being forwarded to the court of JMFC, Dhamnagar.
