DHENAKNAL /BHUBANESWAR: On the basis of intelligence input regarding operation illegal stone mining/quarry in Rasol,Balimi and Motugoan PS areas under Dhenkanal district, multiple raids were conducted byteams of STF with the help of Dhenkanal district police.
Five accused persons namely 1) BishnuMunda S/o. Dayanidhi Munda of Kalarangi PO; Ransu PS. Kaliapani Dist. Jajpur , 5) NagendraBhoi S/o. Nabina Bhoi of Barham PO: PS. Takhuragah Dist. Anugul, 3) Dhanamani Dehuy, 50years S/o. Late Gangadhar Dehury of Ranjagol PS. Balimi Dist. Dhenkanal, 4) Jaya KumarBiswal, 40 Years S/o. Antaryami Biswal of Kamakshya Nagar , Nilamadhavpur PS. KamakhyaNagar Dist. Dhenkanal and Manash Samal, S/o- Nirakar Samal of Pedapada, PS. Rasola Dist.Dhenkanal were detained.During raids 02 Nos Hitachi Breaker, 02 Nos Procoline Machine, 01 No JCB, 02 NosTATA Truck -1613, 02 Compressor, 03 Nos Drill Machine, Battery, 06 Nos Pump Set andexplosive materials i.e. 200 pieces of Detonator, 75 Pieces of Galantine and 50 Kg ofAmmonium Nitrate were seized along with other incriminating materials.
The accused personscould not produce any authority in support of such mining activities, for which they have beendetained and handed over to local police for necessary legal action at their end.
In this connection three cases have been registered i.e. 1) Rasol PS Case No.166 dated 15.7.2023U/S.447/379/511/120(B)/34 IPC r/w. Sec. 51 Orissa Minor Minerals Concession Rules, 2016 /3/4/5 Explosive Substance Act, 2) Balimi PS case no. 200 dated 15.7.2023U/S.447/379/411/120(B)/34 IPC r/w. Sec. 51 Orissa Minor Minerals Concession Rules, 2016r/w.Sec. 3/4/5 Explosive Substance Act and 3) Motugoan PS Case No.187 dated 15.7.2023U/S.447/379/411/120(B)/34 IPC r/w. Sec. 51 Orissa Minor Minerals Concession Rules, 2016.Further investigation is on.
