BHUBANESWAR: The STF of the State Police Crime Branch, led by able IPS officer, JN Pankaj continued to give sleepless nights to drug mafias and as well as wildlife criminals.
Continuing its drive, STF a team of STF and Malkanagiri district Police conducted raid on 8.04.2022 in village Saikrishna Nagar under Amberpet in Hyderabad with the assistance of Amberpet Police and arrested one hardcore absconding interstate drug trafficker namely ThyilShyam Sunder @ Kajabai S/o. T Krishnaiah of H No.81/82,SaikrishnaNagar,Amberpet, Hyderabad wanted in Chitrakonda PS case No. 121/2021 U/s. 20(b)(ii)(c)/29 NDPS Act, 1985.
In this case, on 3.10.2021, Chitrakonda Police while conducting patrolling seized contraband Ganja around 1051Kg, one TATA ACE Goods Carrier and other incriminating materials from the possession of accused person N Balu S/o. DurgaRao of Amalapuram PO/PS. Ambagipeta Dist. East Godabari (AP) by Chitrakonda Police.
During interrogation accused N Balu confessed that as per direction of accused ThyilShyam Sunder @ Kajabai he was transporting contraband ganja.
The arrested accused was one of the masterminds in the instant case as well as a noted inter-state drug trafficker (Ganja). He was absconding since occurrence of the case. After collecting sufficient information, raid was conducted and finally the above absconding was apprehended. Soon after his arrest he was produced before the local court i.e. Court of Hon’ble IV Addl. Chief Metropolitan Court, Hyderabad for transit remand. After obtaining transit remand the accused was produced before the trying court i.e. Dist& Sessions Judge-cum-Spl. Judge, Malkanagiri, STF said.
