BHUBANESWAR: Finally drug mafia Bulu Das alias Priyabrata under STF custody. However, two other accused persons identified as Sanju Sanjay Pradhan of Bhaliabadi PS and Dipu alias Deepak Swain of Uppersahi, Khurda managed to give a slip to the STF team.The Special Task Force of Odisha Crime Branch on Wednesday arrested Bulu from Khurda and seized 305 grams of brown sugar from his possession.
A case (72/20) under Sections 21(c)/29 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Khurda Police Station for necessary legal action in this regard.
Acting on reliable inputs, the STF personnel today carried out a raid in Khurda area and managed to apprehend one drug peddler identified as Bulu alias Priyabrata Das (22), a resident of Saradhapur village under Khurda PS limits, and seized the contraband worth around Rs 30 lakhs along with a motorcycle from his possession.
It is pertinent to mention here that the police are keeping eyes on the drug peddlers of the state as well as the bordering states to track their activities During the year 2020 till date, STF has conducted raids at various places in Cuttack, Puri, Balasore, Angul, Khurda, Pipili, Dhenkanal, Bhubaneswar and Bhadrak areas and detected 15 cases against drug peddlers.
The STF has apprehended 27 accused persons and also seized a total of 1 Kg 649 grams of Brown Sugar, OPIUM (Aphima) 326.45 grams, cash 12s.13,21,000/- plus, One Automatic Pistol One Maruti Car, One Ertiga Maruti Car, 09 (Nine) Motor Bikes, bank accounts, and other incriminating materials.
