BHUBANESWAR: On the basis of intelligence input, a team of STF, Odisha Police and Forest Officials of Baripada Forest Division in a joint raid apprehended the main absconding wildlife criminal namely Fagu @ Falguni @ Fagu Prasad Hansda S/o.Late Ramachandra Hansda of Angarpda, PS. Udala Dist. Mayurbhanj wanted in STF PS case No. STF PS Case No.31 dated 14.12.2022 U/s 379/411/120(B) IPCr/w. Sec. 25/27 Arms Act, 1985 r/w. Sec.51 of Wild Life (Protection) Act, 1972.In this case, on 14.12.2022, one Tiger Skin and other in criminating materials were recovered from the possession of accused Dev Kumar Patra.
The above apprehended accused was the main accused, who had procured the Tiger Skin and during raid he was absconded from the spot.
The accused has been arrested and will be forwarded to the court of SDJM, Udla today i.e. 15.12.2022.Investigation is on.
The accused was earlier forwarded in Baripada Forest Division Case No. OR Case No.76 of 2020-21 during illegal transportation of 08 numbers Elephant Tusk.
