BHUBANESWAR: On the basis of intelligence input, a raid was conducted by team of STF, BBSR near Railway Level Crossing, Aradabazar, Balasore on 26.7.2022 against illegal deal/possession of Narcotic Drugs and apprehended one drug peddler namely Sheikh Mezu, S/o. Late Sheikh Sukra of Arad Bazar PS. Sahadevkhunta of Balasore.
During search contraband brown sugar weighing 1050 gm, Cash of Rs.28,100/- and other incriminating materials were recovered and seized from his possession. The accused person could not produce any valid authority in support of possession of such contraband materials, for which the accused persons was arrested and is being forwarded to the court of District & Sessions cum Spl. Judge, Balasore.
In this connection STF PS Case No.17 dated 26.07.2022 U/s 21(c) of NDPS Act 1985 was registered. Investigation is on. Special drive against narcotic drugs is continuing. Since 2020, STF has seized more than 56 Kg of Brown Sugar/Heroin, 202 Gram Cocaine and more than 111 quintals of Ganja/Marijuna, Opium 750 gram and arrested more than 157 drug dealers/peddlers.
