BHUBANESWAR: A team of STF, Odisha Police with the assistance of Rajsthan Police ( comissionerate police jodhpur) conducted raids at Jodhapur, Rajasthan and arrested one hardcore absconding drug trafficker namely Sk. Azbahar, S/o. Sk Abdul Mazid at Rajpur PS. Jaleswar, Dist Balasore wanted in STF PS case No. 30/2021 U/s. 21(c)/29 NDPS Act, 1985.
He is also wanted in many othernarcotics cases in STF, district Police and excise Deptt case In this case, on 14.08.2021, contraband brown sugar 02 kg 402 grams was seized from the possession of accused persons. The above accused was the key player and mastermind in inter-state drug trafficking (Heroin/ brown sugar) and was absconding since long and was changing place of hiding in various states including in west Bengal and Rajasthan. The local Court at Jodhapur has granted the transit remand and he will be brought to Odisha and produced before the court of Dist & Sessions Judge-cum-Spl. Judge, Balasore.
The above noted accused is a noted drug trafficker in Jaleswar, Balasore & Bhubaneswar and West Bengal against whom number of cases are pending. The accused is involved in at least 5 following cases:
1. STF PS Case No.12/2019 U/s-307/506/120(B)/34 IPC/ 21(b) NDPS
Act 1985/ R/W Sec. 25(1)/25(1AA)/27 Arms Act.
2. STF PS Case No.30/2021 U/s. 21(c)/29 NDPS Act, 1985
3. Excise Department Balasore Case No. PR No- 40 dated 09.01.2018 U/s
20 (b) NDPS Act 1985
4. Jaleswar PS Case No.297/2021 U/s. 21(c)/29 NDPS Act, 1985
5. Jaleswar PS Case No.341/2021 U/s. 21(c)/29 NDPS Act, 1985
