BHUBANESWAR: Odisha Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has approved financial assistance for the development of Mega Aluminium Park in Angul and budgetary support of Rs 428.95 Crore to IDCO ,which will execute the project. The mega project is expected to be completed in 3 years.
Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mahapatra said the important decisions included financial assistance to IDCO for development of a mega aluminum park in Angul district. The State government will extend gross financial assistance of Rs 428.95 crore to develop mega aluminum park. The target date of completion of the park is three years.
The Sate Cabinet also approved the proposal of IDCO to procure 871.427 acres of land for its land bank from M/s Tata Power Co. Ltd. which had been earlier leased out for its coal-based thermal power plant at Barang Tahasil in Cuttack District. The procured land can be utilized for attracting new industrial and infrastructure projects, which will create huge employment opportunity for the people of Odisha. The state government will extend gross financial assistance of Rs 62.83 crore to IDCO.
