BHUBANESWAR/PURI : The Odisha State cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik takes a historic decision by approving amendment of the temple act to settle Jagannath Temple land issues.
The Cabinet approved amendment of Shree Jagannatha Temple Act of 1954. ଶ୍ରୀ ଜଗନ୍ନାଥ ମନ୍ଦିର ଅଧିନିୟମ, ୧୯୫୪ ସଂଶୋଧନ ପ୍ରସ୍ତାବକୁ ମୁଖ୍ୟମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ Naveen Patnaik କ୍ୟାବିନେଟ୍ ବୈଠକରେ ମଞ୍ଜୁର କରିଛନ୍ତି। ଏହାଦ୍ୱାରା ଶ୍ରୀ ଜଗନ୍ନାଥ ମନ୍ଦିର ତଥା ପରିଚାଳନା କମିଟି ଅଧୀନରେ ଥିବା ସ୍ଥାବର ସମ୍ପତ୍ତିର ପରିଚାଳନା ସହ ସମ୍ପୃକ୍ତ ମାମଲାର ତୁରନ୍ତ ସମାଧାନ ଆହୁରି ସହଜ ହେବ।.
Amending the Act, the state Cabinet gave power to different officials, including Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) Chief, temple working president, temple administrator and deputy administrator, for sale and lease of lands. Hence, the state Government’s permission will not be required for the same.
