BHUBANESWAR:Ravi Kanungo, editor of the daily newspaper Surya Prabha, passed away. His contribution to Odia journalism will always be remembered. He was a well-known labor leader and a regular columnist in Odisha. Kanungo has been honored with various awards for his contribution to the field of literature and culture.
Kanungo’s books like Katha Kinchit, Kaagja Bagha, Keshavati Kanya, Aina, Kole and Kodai Gaap, Asha Tamasa, Ek Goswaran’s Panvanya, Sabhi Nari Tike Tike Sita etc. have gained immense popularity among the readers. He was a simple, sincere and unassuming person. State President Shri Manmohan Samal expressed deep grief saying that the demise of Kanungo has caused an irreparable loss to the world of literature, culture and journalism.
