BHUBANESWAR: Leading Industrialist Mahesh Agarwal led Sree Metaliks Ltd, a pioneer in the Indian Iron and Steel industry, has planned to set up a 1 MTPA Grinding unit in Keonjhar in Odisha, with an Investment of Rs 147 Crore.
The Company’s proposal got approval by State Level Single Window Clearance Authority chaired by Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena on Friday in presence of Development Commissioner Anu Garg, Industry Secretary Hemant Sharma, Additional Chief Secretary Steel and Mines, DK Singh and others.
Earlier in 2022, the SLSWCA had approved company’s investments worth Rs 650 Crore in Odisha’s mineral rich Keonjhar, works of which are underway and some have completed, sources said. Shree Metaliks Ltd is setting up an Iron ore beneficiation and Pellet making Plant in Keonjhar district with investment of 650 Crore, and employment opportunity for over 750 persons.
It may be noted here that the SLSWCA approved 27 projects including Sree Mataliks Ltd valued at Rs 6,134.52 crore with a total employment generation potential of 42,275 individuals.
