South-West Monsoon to cover more part of Odisha in next 3 Days

BHUBANESWAR:  The Indian Metrological Department here on Friday predicated that conditions are favorable for further advance of monsoon into some more parts Odisha during next 3 days.  Heavy rains reported from several parts of the State in the early hours of the day.

The IMD issued thunderstorm and heavy rain warning for some districts for next five days starting from today till June 21.

As per the India Meteorological Department, the districts to be affected are Cuttack, Khurdha, Boudh, Nayagarh, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, and Kandhamal.

The IMD also advised people to keep a watch on the weather and move to safer places accordingly to protect from a lightning strike.

Fairly widespread to widespread rainfall with thunderstorm/lightning/gusty winds very likely over Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal during next 5 days. Isolated heavy rainfall likely over Jharkhand during next 5 days; Bihar during 17th-20th; Odisha on 17th & 20th, IMD said.
