South-West Monsoon advances into more part of Arabian Sea

BHUBANESWAR/NEW DELHI:Southwest Monsoon has further advanced into some more parts of Arabian Sea, some parts of Gujarat, entire Konkan, most parts of Madhya Maharashtra & Marathwada, Karnataka, Some parts of Telangana & Rayalaseema, some more parts of TN,  most parts of SHWB, some parts of Bihar today, IMD on Monday said.

Isolated heavy rainfall likely over Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit- Baltistan & Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, north Punjab and north Haryana on 16th June, it said.

Current spell of intense rainfall likely to continue over Northeast India and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim during next 5 days, IMD said.

Under the influence F western Disturbances and lower level easterlies: fairly widespread to widespread rainfall over western Himalayan region and scattered to fairly widespread rainfall over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi & & East Uttar Pradesh on 16th & 17th June, it added.
