Soro Police Achieves Significant Breakthrough in Recent Dacoity Case

BALASORE: On May 22, 2025, at 8:15 AM, Soro Police Station registered a case based on a written report by Manjulata Nayak from Dayanidhipur. The incident occurred on the night of May 21-22, 2025, around 1 AM, where 7-8 culprits broke into the victim’s house, assaulted family members, and stole cash and gold ornaments.

Under the guidance of Dr. Satyajit Naik, IPS, DIG, Eastern Range, Balasore, and in coordination with Balasore and Bhadrak, Police multiple teams were formed to investigate the case. Utilizing scientific methods and a dog squad, our team successfully apprehended the accused, Bapi @ Manoranjan Pani.
Recovered Items:
– One red bullet motorcycle (Regd. No. OD02-BT-0507)
– Two Mauzer firearms (small arms)
– 20 rounds of live ammunition
– ₹27,000 in cash
– Gold ornaments (necklace, chains, earrings, rings, bangles)
– Approximately 500 grams of silver ornaments
– Four mobile phones
– Old coins
– One plier
– One wristwatch
Previous Cases:The accused, Bapi @ Manoranjan Pani, has a history of involvement in 19 cases across Bhadrak, Balasore, and Talcher areas.
