BHUBANESWAR: MAADHYAM team has celebrated Dipawali programme in Bhubaneswar Special Jail, S K Upadhyaya DGP (Prisons) , Senior Superintendent Satya Swain, Jailor Santisini Dash, Namrata Chadha Chairperson of MAADHYAM, Snehanjali Mahanty Woman’s Commission Member, CWC member Kanta Mahanty and Sanghamitra Padhi were present.
Female inmates first-time painted mud Deep with striking colours. These are Diyas coloured by female inmates of Prison. At present Maadhyam is working on the project KIRAN which is one of it’s kind in our state and it provides rehabilitation to the under trial prisoners at various jails of Odisha in support and collaboration with the DG Prisons and Correctional Services.
MAADHYAM is a Non Governmental Organization registered under societies registration act XXI of 1860. Working towards integrated development of the underprivileged and vulnerable section of Society focusing on the Women and Children. From last 16years, MAADHYAM is serving the society focused on Women and children of various issues starting from Education Livelihood to Violence cases. Disaster response is the another major area of working starting from evacuation to rehabilitation. MAADHYAM working since long to provide justice and better life to the women and children by implementing various unique initiatives and programs
