BHUBANESWAR: Day temperature in interior Odisha is likely to fall gradually with effect from Friday, according to the Centre for Environment and Climate (CEC), SOA Deemed to be University.
One or two places in interior Odisha may record temperature of more than 40 degrees C between Friday and Sunday, but the temperature will reduce to 35 to 37 degrees C after Monday, a CEC bulletin said.Observatories in coastal Odisha are likely to record temperature of 35 degrees C up to June 7, it said.
At the same time, ‘Kalbaisakhi’ activity is expected in one or two locations in the districts of Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Jajpur , Bhadrak, Kandhamal, Rayagada and Koraput up to Saturday. Besides, thunderstorm with rain might occur at many places over Odisha between May 31 and June 5.
