BHUBANESWAR: Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan Deemed to be University here has signed an implementation agreement with Hanseatic Institute of Technology and Applied Sciences (HITAS) of Cameroon on a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the two institutions in February last.
The agreement was signed between Prof. Nachieketa K. Sharma, SOA’s Director, University Outreach Program, and Prof. (Dr.) Maurice K. Kamga, Executive President of HITAS, at Douala in the last week of June.
As per the agreement, SOA will impart online courses in Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Master in Business Administration (MBA), Bachelor in Computer Application (BCA) and Master in Computer Application (MCA) to students of HITAS from the 2024-25 academic session subject to conditions laid down by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
Both the institutes will also provide state-of-the-art digital facilities for the online programs while SOA will oversee the installation of laboratory facilities and all matters related to successful implementation of Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) programs in Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science Engineering and Information Technology from the 2024-25 academic session.
It was also agreed that HITAS would depute students from Cameroon to study Bachelor of Science (Nursing) and Bachelor of Technology to SOA subject to the eligibility of the students for these two courses.
