BHUBANESWAR:The Institute of Dental Sciences (IDS), an education and research (E&R)-run institution, organized a White Coat New Year’s Eve event on Thursday to celebrate the New Year.
At the beginning of the program, Assistant Professor Soumyaranjan Padhi along with Pradeep Prajwalan delivered the welcome address. Dean of the institution, Professor (Dr.) Ruchi Bhuyan, encouraged the students on the occasion of the New Year and in his speech, he called the white coat a symbol of responsibility and truth. He called upon them to fulfill their promise with dedication and ethics.
The Dean said that the White Coat New Year’s Pledge program was launched for the first time in the institution on New Year’s Day, and that it will be celebrated as an annual tradition.
All the heads of departments delivered speeches on the occasion, while Professor Padhi offered a vote of thanks at the end of the program.
All faculty members, postgraduate students and interns took the oath at the event.
