BHUBANESWAR/ANGUL: SMS Group Chairman Burkhard Dahmen and senior officials have paid a visit to Jindal Steel and Power Limited’s Integrated Steel making complex in Odisha’s coal bearing Angul and held talks with JSPL Chairman Naveen Jindal on the functioning and as well as ongoing expansion work.

JSPL is planning to invest Rs 1,00,670 crore over the next 10 years making Angul facility, the largest single location steel plant capacity in the World. The plant would be expanded from the 6 MTPA ,four fold to 25.2 MTPA by 2030.
In November last year, the HLCA had approved its expansion plan to 18.6 MTPA with an investment of Rs 76,000 crore. The company had proposed additional investment of Rs 24,652 crore to increase the capacity of the plant to 25.2 MTPA.
