BHUBANESWAR: Slum Dwellers of Bhubaneswar city led by CPI(ML) Red Star held an agitation in front of KIMS COVID-19 Hospital managed by KIIT Group here alleging about medical negligence to COVID-19 patients.
CPI(ML) leader Sibaram allegedly died due to KIMS doctors negligence and other supporting staffs were not attending patients regularly as a result of which many losing their lives while undergoing treatment, sources said.
Sibaram’s family also alleged that Hospital charge huge fees and not supplying details of treatment. “We demanded a CBI probe into the functioning of KIMS COVID-19 Hospital and audit by CAG,” they added.
It may be noted here that earlier, RTI activist Pradip Pradhan had raised similar allegations against the BJD Kandhamal MP Dr Achyuta Samanta run KIIT Group.
