BHUBANESWAR: The decision to allow Chief Administrator of Shree Lord Jagannath Temple Administration, Vir Vikram Yadav to accompany the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to Rome in Italy , during Rath Yatra preparations time, raised many eyebrows. A CMO released said,, Yadav was among several officers accompanying the CM.

Yadav, who holds the Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Department as Principal Secretary, is reportedly assisting Chief Minister Patnaik, who is expected to address the World Food Programme in Rome. Besides, that Yadav also hold the charge of Principal Secretary, Works Department and commissioner of Trade Promotion and Investment, and chairman of Odisha State Commissioner for Backward Classes. Yadav holding half dozen departments and not delivering justice to any of  it.

Yadav, who has many important assignments and review meeting pending regarding the world famous Rath Yatra -2022 slated for July 1 , is missing from the scenes in Puri. “With devotees faced rough weather for last 2 years for COVID-19 Pandemic, this year, public gathering may rise but with SJTA Chief Administrator  missing, young Collector and SP of Puri, Samartha Verma and Vishal Singh facing tough time in dealing with the situation,” sources added.

SJTA Chief Administrator has many important responsibilities during Rath Yatra and its preparations but this year the Chief Administrator is missing as he is on a foreign trip and most probably returning Odisha just 1 day before Rath Yatra, which is on June 30.

It may be noted here that, taking the present situations at the Shree Lord Jagannath Temple in Puri, the Supreme Court had favoured for a permanent Chief Administrator for the Temple Administration but the State Government yet to implement it and rather it allowing officer enjoying multiple Department as Secretary, with additional charge of SJTA.
