BHUBANESWAR/PURI: The Chhatisha Nijog meeting along with the Niti Sub-Committee meeting was held on 14.02.2022 under the chairmanship of Chief Administrator, SJTA, Dr Krishan Kumar to review the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for management of situation arising out of COVID 19 pandemic with regard to Shree Jagannatha Temple.
The meeting was attended by the Collector, Puri, Additional S.P, Puri, Senior officials of Shree Jagannatha Temple Administration, Sevak Members of Shree Jagannatha Temple Managing Committee and members of Chhatisha Nijog. In the meeting a detailed discussion was held on the current COVID situation and accordingly the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) notified vide order No.640 dtd 31.01.2022 is being revised to the extent provided hereunder.
These revisions in the SOP will come into force w.e.f. 21-02-2022:
1. The devotees can enter the temple for Darshan of lords from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM on all days when temple is open for Public Darshan.
2. The devotees are no longer required to produce the documents like final certificate for Covid-19 Vaccination/ Covid-19 negative Certificate (RTPCR) for darshan of Lords at the Shree Jagannatha Temple. However, there would be strict enforcement, for ensuring COVID appropriate behavior by all concerned.
3. The temple will remain closed for public darshan on all Sundays in order to sanitize the temple premises as a measure to contain the spread of Corona virus disease.
4. A priority queue will be made operational for Senior citizen devotees and others; who are visiting temple for Darshan of Lords. A separate detailed order will be issued in this regard by SJTA.
5. Arrangements for safe drinking water, will be made for the devotees, as they wait in the queue system for Darshan of the Lords. The above order will be reviewed periodically and revised instructions will be issued from time to time, keeping in view the evolving situation.
