BHUBANESWAR: The Shrimad Bhagwat Mahotsav organized by Dharma Jagran Samukhya, Odisha was held on Sunday, 05.10.2025, at Terapant Bhawan, Bhubaneswar. The Chief Guest was Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha, Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, Special Guest was Padma Shri Baba Dholea, and Swami Brahmananda Saraswati was the Guest of Honour. President of Dharma Jagran Sami Chandrakant introduced the Chief Guest and Eastern Region Chief Vinay Kumar Bhuyan delivered the welcome address, among others, Sranishagarananda Maharaj, Babaji Vishwanath Das, Dr. Sanat Sujata Nanda, Babaji Sachidananda Das Maharaj, Editor of Dharma Jagran Sami Dhruba Charan Behera and Regional Chief Alok Khatua were present.
Shri Vinay Bhuin, a prominent figure in the field of Dharma Jagran, welcomed hundreds of saints and social workers with the slogan “Gita in every home, Bhagavat in every village”. Swami Brahmananda Saraswati managed the stage.
On this occasion, it was announced that a major project like distribution of Shrimad Bhagavad Gita to 1 lakh families in forest and backward areas and making of 5,000 new Bhagavad Gita tungis will be started by Dharma Jagran Sahay Odisha and Bhagavad Mahotsav will be organized by saints from different districts of Odisha and Geeta Bhagavad training camps will be organized. Youth will be brought together through Hanuman Chalisa Parayan.
The Honorable Chief Minister delivered his speech – The old Bhagwat Tungi, which is closed in Odisha, will be restored and a new Bhagwat Tungi will be constructed in the villages where Bhagwat Tungi does not exist.
