BHUBANESWAR/PURI: The 12th century old, Shree Lord Jagannatha Temple in Odisha’s pilgrimage city of Puri to reopen for the public from February 1. The shrine will remain closed on Sundays for sanitisation purposes as usual.
SJTA Chief Dr Krishan Kumar chaired a virtual meeting of Chhatisa Nijog this afternoon to discuss on fresh COVID guidelines for the temple servitors, devotees and all concerned.
A fresh SOP will be issued for both servitors and devotees.The SJTA had closed the temple from January 10 to 31 amid steep rise in COVID-19 cases.
