Shree Lord Jagannatha Rath Yatra 2023: JSP Foundation Serves Free Cooked Meal to Devotees in Holy City of Puri in Odisha , Targets to serve 5 Lakh Devotees in 11 Days

PURI/BHUBANESWAR:  The Naveen Jindal led Jindal Steel and Power’s CSR wing, JSP Foundation headed by Chairperson; Shallu Jindal has launched free cooked meal service at Odisha’s pilgrimage city of Puri for the World famous annual Rath Yatra of Shree Lord Jagannatha and his siblings.

Inspired by JSP Chairman Naveen Jindal and JSP Foundation Chairperson Shallu Jindal’s pro people and philanthropic approach,  officials and staffs of JSP and JSP Foundation led by Prashant Hota, President and Group Head – CSR, Education & Sustainability, and Odisha Head Corporate Communications, Jindal Steel & Power, have started the noble initiative early on Monday, the day of Nabajouban Darshan. The services by JSP Foundation will continued till Sunabesha Day.

‘We have targeted to serve cooked meals to more than 5 lakhs devotees , those who coming to Puri during the 11 days ceremony,’ Prashant Hota, President and Group Head – CSR, Education & Sustainability, and Odisha Head Corporate Communications, Jindal Steel & Power said.

JSP Foundation sources said, apart from cooked meal, 10,000 chilled drinking water and glucose packets and 700 raincoats were already distributed while the Foundation also installed 70 biotoilets for the devotees.  Sources said, in coordination with the District Administration, the Foundation provided freshly cooked traditional Odia meals, Chilled drinking water, and glucose packets during the grand festival.

It may be noted here that, JSP Foundation has been continuing such  noble service since 2015 Rath Yatra. In last year in 2022, JSP Foundation had served cooked meals to more than 4 Lakh devotees , apart from drinking water and other essential commodities.
