Shree Lord Jagannath Temple Servitors meet CM

PURI/BHUBANESWAR: Following the dismissal of petitions in Supreme Court,  servitors of Puri’s Shree Lord Jagannath Temple , on Friday evening met Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at his official residence, Naveen Niwas in State Capital and express their support for the Shree Mandir Parikrama Project.

“ତୁମ ଇଚ୍ଛା ବିନା ପତ୍ରଟେ ହଲେନି ଆହେ ଜଗନ୍ନାଥ। ଜୟ ଜଗନ୍ନାଥ 🙏,” Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had tweeted @Naveen_Odisha sharing photos of Puri’s Shree Mandir.

The one line tweet of an emotional Chief Minister Patnaik, came soon after the Supreme Court on Friday dismissed two petitions filed alleging illegal excavation and construction activities by Odisha Government around the Jagannath Temple in Puri. “We highly deprecate such practise of filing public interest litigations, they are nothing but an abuse or process of law,” the bench of Justices B R Gavai and Hima Kohli said.

Earlier, 5T Secretary VK Pandian along with BJD Organisation secretary Pranab Das , Puri Collector Samartha Verma, SP Vishal Singh visited the 12th century old Temple and offered prayers soon after the SC rejected petitions seeking halt of work.
