BHUBANESWAR: At least 2 Hardcore women Maoists leader namely 21 year old Manisha Thati , who is member of 8th Company and 22 year old Champa Koram aka Sajanti, who is a member of Mahandi Area Committee of Kalahandi-Kandhamal-Boudh-Nayagarh(KKBN) division of outlawed CPI(Maoists) surrendered before IGP Southern Range , JN Pankaj at Boudh District on Tuesday.
Both joined the outlawed organisation in 2018 and were involved in several Maoists violence cases in Chhattisgarh.
Both the Maoists cadre were native of Chhattisgarh and were tasked to reactivate the north south corridor from Jharkhand to Chattisgarh through south centre Odisha. Both alleged sexual and physical harassment by senior cadres , which forced them to shun the group and return to social mainstream.
IGP JN Pankaj appealed other Maoists cadre to shun violence and back to normal life.
