NEW DELHI/BHUBANESWAR: After the BJP high command, put the baton in the hands of Party’s National Vice President Baijayant Jay Panda, to supervise and oversee the ensuing Lok Sabha polls in Uttar Pradesh, which sends around 80 MPs to Lok Sabha, the former MP Jay Panda, seems, missing no stone unturned to ensure Saffron Party’s splendid performance in the polls.
In a first biggest achievement for the BJP’s Election –Charge for UP, represented by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Ritesh Pandey , BSP’s Member of Parliament from Ambedkar Nagar Parliamentary constituency in Uttar Pradesh, on Sunday joined the Saffron fold at BJP National Headquarters’ in New Delhi.
Pandey said he had worked for the BSP for the last 15 years and did not want to comment on the “thinking and activities” of party supremo Mayawati. Pandey has represented the Ambedkar Nagar constituency since 2019. He was also a MLA from Jalalpur between 2017 and 2019 before he was elected as an MP.
The 42 year old Pandey was a key young face of Mayawati led Bahujan Samaj in Uttar Pradesh and his induction into Saffron fold might help the Party in Ambedkar Nagar Parliamentary constituency and neighbouring seats.
Besides, National Vice President and Election In –Charge for UP, Jay Panda, National General Secretary, In-charge Jammu & Kashmir, Telangana, Ladakh and BJP SC Morcha , Tarun Chugh, Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary, BJP UP State President, UP Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak, MP, National Media In-charge and National Spokesperson Anil Baluni and others were among those present during the joining of Pandey into BJP.
