BHUBANESWAR: CII IWN ODISHA in collaboration with Police Commissionerate Twin City organised a Seminar on Building Strength to Strong Women, An interactive session on Hygiene, Skin and Nutrition. The meeting started with the welcome address by CII-IWN Chairperson Mrs. Jayashree Mohanty and she spoke on the role and importance of having women as members in all important policy making decisions, Further to her welcome note the session was addressed by Chief Guest of the event Shri. Soumendra Priyadarshi, Police Commissioner Twin City, Govt of Odisha.
He spoke on the importance of women in today’s era especially women are doing excellent in all aspects of their life. He stressed on women as role models in the police departments doing excellent professional service activities beyond men. A small felicitation program was organised for the expert panelists including Dr. Sujata Kar, Dr. Lita Mohapatra and Ms. Pinky Motwani by Shri Soumendra Priyadarshi for their expert advice in the field of Health and Hygiene for women police officers. Twin City for giving an opportunity to organise the following seminar in the headquarters of Police Commissionerate, Bhubaneswar. Next the technical sessions were conducted by the Speakers including Dr. Sujata Kar, Dr. Lita Mohapatra, Ms Pinky Motwani. A video on menstrual Hygiene and Felicitation was shown which was sung by celebrity singer Ms. Sushmita Das and she also narrated her experiences and thoughts behind singing this special song. Further she was felicitated by CP Shri. Soumendra Priyadarshi. In addition to the same, Sanitary napkins and reusable pads were distributed among the lady police officers by Rotary E-club of District 3262 in presence of the club’s President Mrs. Nivedita Swain. Lastly the vote of thanks was delivered by Mrs. Priti Agarwal, Co- Chairwoman CII IWN ODISHA. She thanked everyone for the presence and made the seminar a great success
