BHUBANESWAR: After Sambalpur Collector Anaya Das, IAS of 2015 batch, and Balangir Collector Chanchal Rana, IAS of 2014 batch tied their nuptial knot for second time following unsuccessful in their first marriage, grapevines are there, 2 more IAS officers, are now on fray and going to tie knot for second time as their first marriage also remained eventful and unsuccessful ending with divorce.
The IAS officers are in questions, are Puri Collector, Samartha Verma of 2011 batch, and Rayagada Collector, Swadha Dev Singh of 2014 batch.
If everything goes well, both Verma and Singh will tie their knot at Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh, home district of Puri Collector on May 21. Swadha Singh hails from Delhi.
This would be the second marriage for both Samarth and Swadha. Samarth had earlier married to Shuchi Singh, an Indian Railways Service officer, while Swadha is the former wife of Chanchal Rana, who is currently posted as Balangir Collector and recently married to Ananya in Guwahati in Assam. The 2011 batch IAS officer, Samartha had parted away from her first wife Shuchi Singh during his term as Sambalpur Collector.
Ananya Das, who is now working as the Collector of Sambalpur, had earlier married to IAS officer Abdaal M. Akhtar, now posted as Koraput Collector.
It may be noted here that before Collector of Puri, Samartha Verma had served as Collector of Kendrapara, Sambalpur, BMC Commissioner and PD DRDA Rayagada while Swadha Singh before Rayagada Collector, she had served as Collector of Nuapada and Additional Collector of Rourkela.
