BARGARH: Nuakhaai Festival has been nurtured at the local Sanskaar International School, Bargarh. As it is a residential school and the students go home for Nuakhaai, such an innovative initiative has been taken to educate the children about Nuakhaai cultural traditions. Chairman of the school Suman Sawadia, Director Mr. Ajit Patnaik, Principal Mr. Karan Sahu, Director of Sanskaar Sibling Mr. Siddharth Sawadia, Academic Coordinator Ms. Sam Sahu, Coordinator Ms. Rita Naik, all the teachers and students of the school, students from 1st to 12th standard were present in the program.
It was a small effort on the part of the school to introduce and celebrate the objective of celebrating West Odisha’s agriculture-based Ganaparva Nuakhaai in the entire Odisha and other states outside Odisha.
Principal of the school Mr. Karan Sahu spoke to the students about the social and family ties, affection, love and duty behind the celebration of Nuakhaai festival.
On the occasion of the celebration of this agricultural day, Mr. Suman Sawadia, the chairman of the school, told the students to give due respect to agriculture and farmers.
Mr. Ajit Patnaik, director of the school expressed the opinion that this Nuakhaai festival, which carries the message of social harmony, should be good for everyone. Ms. Siddhi Shukla, the teacher of the school, coordinated the program and provided a lot of information regarding Nuakhaai. The students of class IX and X performed a play based on Nuakhaai festival. Students of class 6 performed the dance “Amer Tihar Nuakhaai”.
