BHUBANESWAR:Senior leader and former MLA from Kore constituency Smt. Sanchita Mohanty passed away this morning. Late Sanchita Mohanty was an active worker of the Bharatiya Janata Party. She served as an MLA in the Kore Assembly from 2004 to 2009. She was not only a skilled politician but also a hardworking leader in public service and organizational work. State President Shri Manmohan Samal expressed his condolences and said that she had earned a special place in the hearts of the common people by working tirelessly for the development and welfare of the Kore region.

The role of the late Sanchita Appa was important in the expansion of the party. He worked for the party till the last moment. Along with politics, he widely propagated Jagannath culture. His demise has been a huge loss for Odisha politics and the Bharatiya Janata Party, said former state president and national executive member Shri Sameer Mohanty.
After the mortal remains of late Mohanty reached the state office today, the newly appointed state president and national executive member Shri Sameer Mohanty and state vice president Dr. Yatin Mohanty presented the party flag, paid their last respects and paid tributes by offering a bouquet of flowers.
In an emotional atmosphere, others included Deputy Chief Minister Smt. Parvathi Parida, Minister Shri Suresh Pujari, State General Secretary (Organization) Manas Kumar Mohanty, Former General Secretary (Organization) Prasanna Mishra, MLA Babu Singh, Former Minister Arvind Tachali, Vice Presidents Vishnu Das, Ashok Mishra, K. Narayan Rao, State Secretary Saroj Kar, State Secretary Dr. Priti Pratibha Bhola, senior leaders Sudipta Ray, Mahesh Mohanty, Sudarshan Nayak, Scheduled Caste Morcha President Baidhar Mallick, Bhubaneswar District President Niranjan Mishra, Priyadarshi Mishra, Jagannath Pradhan and many other activists were present and paid their respects by offering bouquets.
Wishing the eternal peace of the late Mohanty’s soul, all the leaders and activists have prayed to Lord Sri Jagannath to grant infinite patience to the bereaved family and friends in this hour of grief.
