BHUBANESWAR: On Tuesday, Sambit Tripathy, Junior Clerk, O/o the Block Education Officer, Nandapur, in Koraput has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance while taking 1st instalment of bribe Rs.15,000/- of overall demand of Rs.30,000/- for drawl of arrear salary of a deceased Primary School Teacher.
The teacher died in 2019. His widow was surviving on family pension. On 11.06.2025, sanction for revised pension was received. However, Sri Tripathy demanded bribe Rs.30,000/- to process the file. Today, he was nabbed while taking bribe Rs 15,000/- as 1st instalment
