Safety Workshop held in Bhubaneswar

BHUBANESWAR:  The Directorate of Factories and Boilers,  Govt. of Odisha organized one day safety workshop with MAH Factories at the Conference Hall of Labour Commissioner on March 7 at Bhubaneswar in Odisha.

Around 48 large industries participated including their senior professionals. Anu Garg, Principal Secretary, Directorate of Factories & Boilers inaugurated the workshop and explained about the safety and Health measures. The senior officers of factories also appreciated the 10-point action plan of Govt. of Odisha like Safety Body, Safety Aaina, Safety Gathering, Mobile App etc.

Dr. N. Tirumala Nayak, IAS, Director of Factories and Boilers addressed the inaugural session with splendid speech and also elaborated necessary action plans against safety of labourers. The department also presented a Power Point presentation about safety measures against accidents in factories in details. In the year of 2019, the severity rate of accident was only 31 accidents only.

In this workshop, the senior professionals of Tata-BSL, Tata Kalinga Nagar, JSPL Angul, NALCO, Vedanta Ltd, IFCO, PPL, Jindal Steel, IOCL Refinery, Shyam Medalics, Nav Bharat Ventures Ltd. etc. were given their opinion in their speeches.The conclusion address was given by Dr. Ramesh Kumar Behera, Dy. Director (Safety) and Manoj Kumar Pani, Dy. Director, Bhubaneswar Region has delivered vote of thanks in this occasion.
