BHUBANESWAR: Sachin R. Jadhav, Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment, Odisha visited pilot agriculture projects in Sambalpur district.
Yadav interacted with awardee farmer Smt. Shubhadra Nayak, who has adopted a diversified Integrated Farming System model with an annual income of about ₹10 lakh and appreciated her efforts while emphasizing market-led extension and diversification to enhance farmers’ income and sustainability.
He also interacted with KVK scientists and planted an avocado sapling in the OUAT, Chipilima campus highlighting the importance of innovation, capacity building and sustainable agricultural practices.
