BHUBANESWAR: RTI activist Pradip Pradhan has shared more details on amusement tour to Rome Italy by Former Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, former IAS VK Pandian and Mr. IPS Officer Ravi Kant
This bill is from ROME CAVALIERI Hotel in Rome (A WALDORFASTORIA Hotel). Naveen Patnaik stayed in the Napoleon Suite of this hotel during his visit to Italy from June 20 to 25, 2022.
This is one of the most luxurious hotels in the world. For Naveen Babu’s six-day stay at this hotel, a bill of Euro € 36,384 i.e. Rs 36,38,400 was paid from the Odisha treasury, i.e. a bill of Rs 6 lakh per day. The government does not have any information about why Naveen Babu and VK Pandian went on a six-day visit to Italy. Naveen and Pandian spent Rs 82 lakh on this expensive trip to Rome.
These two bills are from Azad Luxury Pacchetto Tour Travel Agency in Rome. Former Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, former IAS VK Pandian and Mr. IPS Officer Ravi Kant went on a tour of Italy and Rome from June 20 to 25, 2022 at the expense of the people of Odisha.
This was not an official work. This travel agency was given Euro € 15000 i.e. 12 lakh rupees (at that time one Euro = 80. 81) for car rental for traveling. This means that Pandian and Ravikant spent two lakh rupees per day to travel in Rome.
