BHUBANESWAR: With its aim to protect the country, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) organised a Sashtra Pujan (Weapons Worship) programme at the Unit-II Girls’ High School premises here on the occasion of Vijaya Dasami on Tuesday. Around 250 RSS members participated in the Puja.
Addressing the gathering, RSS Purba Kshetra Gram Vikash chief Ashok Padhi said, “We should dedicate ourselves to protect the integrity of our country.”The aim of the RSS is to unite the Hindus for development of the nation, he added.
The RSS members took out a procession across the city from the Unit-II Girls’ High School field before holding a meeting.
Sangh Mahanagar coordinator Dr Basant Kumar Pati chaired the meeting. Software Company, Sujog’s founder Manoranjan Mohapatra was present as the chief guest. Jayakrushna Prusty coordinated the programme.
