BHUBANESWAR: The Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha (ABPS) of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh held a three-day meeting from March 11 to 13 at Ahmedabad, Gujarat. It passed a resolution for a self-reliant India. In addition Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has called on the people of our country to think the movement of our Nation from Freedom towards selfhood on the occasion of Amrut Mahotsav. This was stated at a press conference today by Samir Kumar Mohanty, Pranta Sangh Chalak of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Odisha Purva.
Mr. Mohanty said , the ABPS is of the opinion that thrust is to be given to Bharatiya economic model i.e human centric, labour intensive, eco friendly ,lays stress on decentralization , equitable distribution of benefits ,village economy, micro scale, small scale ,agro based industries and women-empowerment. Efforts are essential to adopt new technologies and soft skills appropriate to our social conditions.This requires the efforts of self-help groups, co-operatives, entrepreneurs and talented people. Many start-ups and handicrafts and food processing industries in the country can provide livelihood by indigenous and self-reliance process. ABPS has told that all the success stories about job creation for the whole society including weaker and deprived section should be appreciated.
Dattatreya Hoswale, Sarakaryabaha, also gave an important statement that the freedom struggle of our country had been going on for centuries. He said it was not just a political struggle, but a socio-cultural movement. The British government had attacked on our indigenous economy, political system, our faith and education system. Swayamsevaks of RSS led by Dr. Hedgewar, took part in a series of national movements to protect the country. Many heroes including unknown brave fighters took part in this movement. On the occasion of 75th year of independence i.e Amrut Mahostav,we have to give the vision to all the citizens of our country that the whole Indian society is one nation. For this, Country needs to implement a Bharat – centric education policy with a concept of self-reliance.
According to the report in the meeting, there are 81,610 Sakhas of RSS running in the country including 1876 of Odisha. 1211 karyakartas from across the country including 47 from odisha took part in the said meeting. At the beginning of the meeting, tributes were paid to many people of the state and the country who died last year including many dignitaries like the famous singer Sushree Lata Mangeskar and cine artist Mihir Das, Musician Dr. Damodar Hota and Ex – Chief Minister Sri Hemananda Biswal of Odisha.
The press conference was also attended by Dr. Gopal Prasad Mohapatra, Kshetra Karyabaha of Purva Kshetra and Sumant Kumar Panda, Sahapranta Prachar Pramukha , Odisha.
